Our Farm

One of the wonderful facilities we have at St John the Baptist is a school farm.

Our farm consists of chickens, garden beds for growing vegetables, fruit trees, a worm farm and a compost bay. The farm is run with the help of dedicated parents, staff and students. Currently this area is been overseen by Farm Co-ordinators, Olivia P and Rebecca S.

We are always looking for more volunteers to come and join our friendly team. Any time you can spare is greatly appreciated. Maintaining the farm and looking after our chickens is a full time job but many hands make light work!

If you don’t have any free time but simply would like to come and have a look, please do. We love to see visitors at the farm.

Recent activities:

  • An additional pen added to the chicken run.
  • New garden beds built.

A very special thank you to the team of parents who maintain the garden beds, clean out the pens and feed the chickens every day!!
